A fire that heavily damaged the lobby of Local 49's union hall will not dampen our spirits or stop the work we do. Over 150 members and supporters gathered recently to send the message that we are stronger than ever, and we will not allow this action to stop the work we do as a union.

Sign Scrubs for Health Care Reform

SEIU Local 49 members, as part of the Partnership for Quality Care,  have launched the Every Patient Matters campaign. Health care workers across the country are signing tens of thousands of surgical scrub tops with personal messages urging Congress to act now on health care reform. Our scrubs will be delivered to Congress later this month.
