SEIU Is All In for Governor Kate Brown

Election season is heating up, and no campaign will have a greater impact on union members in Oregon than the governor’s race. After reviewing her record on key issues like healthcare, affordable housing, paid sick leave, and raising the minimum wage, SEIU members recommended Kate Brown for governor.SEIU members have been knocking on doors and making phone calls to express their support for Kate Brown and share information with voters about her record.“I’ve been spreading the word about Kate Brown because she has our back,” said Olivia Devers, an SEIU 49 Executive Board member. “She’s a dedicated champion of healthcare workers and all union members.”“Governor Brown takes the time to know her constituents, and she has continually supported labor,” said Julie Markiewicz, a longtime Kaiser employee and Executive Board member.This November, it’s important that we elect a governor with a proven record of standing up for Oregon’s workers.
