We're Fighting to Keep our COVID Childcare Benefit at Kaiser

Union members are calling on Kaiser Permanente management to re-instate the COVID childcare stipend that we earned to help us care for our children while we work during the pandemic.With COVID-19 cases on the rise in Oregon and Washington, it's becoming clear that there will not be full-time and in-person school for our kids this fall. For us to be able to do our jobs at Kaiser, our children need reliable care. It's time to bring back the childcare stipend so that we can continue to do our work saving patients' lives without worrying whether our children are well cared for.

How are we taking action?

Our Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions submitted an open letter to Kaiser management underscoring the critical need for Kaiser to lead and renew the healthcare benefit. SEIU members can also take action by signing and sharing our petition today!
