HHS unanimously VOTES YES to ratify their contract!
A super majority of SEIU 49 members at HHS turned out on Tuesday to unanimously ratify our new contract. HHS workers support McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in Housekeeping and Dietary positions, making patients have safe, sterile rooms and nutritious meals.
The 2-year contract includes wage increases or bonuses for 2025 and an across-the-board wage increase of 3% next year. On top of that, no member under this contract will make less than $20/hour to start. The contract also addresses wage inequities, adds more stewards, prevents any insurance premium increases over the next two years, and more! All of this with NO TAKEAWAYS!
The 2-year contract also brings HHS into alignment with the McKenzie-Willamette contract expiration—that's more bargaining power the next we're at the table!
