Oregon Medical Assistant National Certification is Coming

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) Meaningful Use requirement specifies that Medical Assistants who enter orders into KP Health Connect must have certain certifications. Washington MAs are covered by the state’s required HCA certification, but Oregon has no state-required certification, nor has the Oregon MA job description required a certification to work at Kaiser.SEIU is entering into negotiations with Kaiser surrounding the certification requirement, and below are the SEIU representatives for the bargaining team.
