Protect Our Jobs. Protect Our Voice. Demand Kaiser return to the table!
Kaiser Permanente is pushing forward a unilateral change and refusing to bargain over the impacts. Management is trying to collapse 15 unique Payroll, Scheduler, and Staffer roles into just ONE job description—ignoring the reality of the work and the systems used every day.
This change is tied to a new scheduling/payroll system that Kaiser has refused to show us. Instead of collaborating in true partnership, they’re ignoring frontline voices—and moving ahead without agreement.
WHAT’S AT STAKE?
Over 130 union jobs are on the line—potentially cut in half.
The new “one-size-fits-all” job description doesn’t reflect the real work our Payroll, Schedulers, and Staffers do.
Even some of Kaiser’s own managers say this “one-size-fits-all” job description won’t work for many departments.
This could lead to RIFs (job cuts), despite decades of loyal service.
Kaiser claims this is just about a new system. But experienced schedulers know better. New systems have been introduced for years—never before has Kaiser rewritten job descriptions like this.
This is NOT partnership.
We’ve asked Kaiser to come back to the bargaining table. They said NO.
We’ve asked to see the new system. They said NO.
We’ve asked if these jobs will be protect. They DON’T HAVE AN ANSWER.
