MWMC: Some Progress But More Work Ahead

Last bargaining session your bargaining team proposed wage increases, improvements to differentials, health insurance, retirement, education, and so much more to make sure that MWMC can attract and KEEP our employees!

After a day of bargaining on Wednesday, December 4, we received management’s first wage proposals: 3% the first year with some selectives, and some improvements to differentials, standby, and other compensations. But it is not enough!

  • Bereavement: We did reach agreement to expand bereavement to include more loved ones.

  • Retention: We are making progress to recognizing work experience for current and future employees

  • Education: We continue to propose joining the Education Fund with SEIU which will give access to training and tuition.

  • Benefits: Management proposed a raise in healthcare costs.

We have more work to do because 3% and a few selectives does not get us all to the wages we need. Sign the petition to support your bargaining team and let management know—When you take one of us on, you take all of us on!
